Almag was one of 14 companies recognized for their effort in energy conservation. Some of the recipients have made large improvements, others small. The point being that each has changed his/her actions and attitudes to positively contribute to a global issue. The smallest steps can have positive effects. "An Award for Energy Efficiency" was presented by Hydro One, Brampton, recognizing initiatives that have improved our energy efficiency. Energy conservation and the environment are hot topics and there is a multitude of ways to make a difference.

Environmental concern is the catalyst driving research and development for many new products and practices. Cost benefits of implementing these strategies often make them attractive from a monetary standpoint. Savings grow long term, as decreased consumption and increased efficiencies are realized. Implementing energy saving and cost saving measures is a win-win for all of us!

Almag recently passed Tier 1 C-TPAT certification.

C-TPAT is Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism. The benefits to our Customers include the assurance in knowing that shipments are guaranteed secure until reaching their U.S. shipping destinations. Less delays at the border will lead to greater predictability in material delivery schedules.

Rapid prototyping service is available at Almag!

Begin with your drawing and within days, accurate, full-size samples will be in your hands.

3D prototypes will allow you to review your extrusion design, check form, fit and function of assemblies, possibly saving thousands of dollars and valuable time when designing new products, or modifications.

Prototypes for matching end caps and other non-extrusion parts can also be produced, providing you with a complete, sample assembly prior to full extrusion production. Samples are made from 100% recyclable plastic.

Almag Customer wins ET Foundation 2006 Design Award

Almag would like to extend special congratulations to our Customer, Christopher Jeske of RollFab, Inc. for winning first place in the 2006 International Aluminum Extrusion Design Competition awarded by the Extrusion Technology Foundation. RollFab, Inc. was the winner in the Commercial/Industrial/Consumer category for the Multiroll.

An assembly of three aluminum extrusions is used to form the Multiroll sheet metal radius handbrake. It can be used in a variety of fabrication industries such as; automotive, motorcycle, arts & crafts and architectural applications.

The Multiroll is an inventive demonstration of the possibilities for the design of extrusions and the functional way in which they can be applied. Congratulations Chris!

Santa Claus Parade

Almag employees and their families recently took part in the Brampton Santa Claus Parade.

The Almag float was topped with trees and presents and lit up the night sky as it travelled along Main Street in Brampton.

The Santa Claus Parade is a long standing tradition in Brampton and was a joy to share with the kids.

Almag's "Big Bike for Stroke" team

Congratulations go out to our Big Bike riders!!!

29 spirited and enthusiastic Almag employees took part in the Big Bike for Stroke Fundraising event on May 4, 2005.

The weather held out, they all pedaled their hardest and the greatest part is that they raised over $3100.00 for the Heart and Stroke Foundation!!

Way to go riders - a job well done!!!
